The History of Leighton Buzzard

Leighton Buzzard is an historic market town which continues still today, reference goes back to the Doomsday book 1086 and even beyond with both Saxon & Roman artifacts often being found locally.

The coming of the Canal and the Railway in the early 1800’s established the town still further and the population, industry and commerce continued to increase. The town still operates its famous narrow gauge train which takes you around the town’s outskirts.

Situated within close distance to Milton Keynes, Aylesbury, Bedford, Luton & Dunstable and close to both M1 & A5. For commuters London is only a 30 minute trip and Birmingham less than an hour.

The High street provides a number of boutique shops to suit all requirements and the town is one of the first to support the Fair Trade industry.
